He has unique attainments and insights into Chinese painting art. He also has a profound explanation of the “true meaning of art”. 7岁自学中国工笔画，11岁拜著名画家马晋为师。擅长工笔及大写意人物画，油画、彩墨、钢笔画等均有建树。

宝松游历美国近30年。对华夏绘画艺术有独到的造诣和见解。并对“艺术的真谛”有深刻的阐述。以独特的视角、风格独具的画风、深刻的文化造诣以及深厚的绘画功力在东西方文化交流中脱颖而出，是当今世界上极为杰出的中国绘画艺术家。

In 1996. Mr. Bao Song was named the Celebrity of the Year and Outstanding Contribution Artist by the American “International Biographical Association”.

In 1997, Mr. Bao Song was named the Outstanding Artist of the Year by the “International Biographical Association” of Cambridge University, UK.

In 2022, during Chinese New Year, Mr. Bao Song’s photos were appeared on Broadway big screen in Times Square, New York, USA.

In December 2023, the technique of “fine brushwork and heavy color figure painting on rice paper” was included in the national key subject of the “the 14th Five-Year Plan”, education and scientific research planning of the Ministry of Education. Mr. Bao song’s freehand figure painting is praised by the Chinese and foreign art circles as the inheritor of freehand figure painting after Liang Kai in the Song Dynasty and Huang Shen in the Qing Dynasty. Those characteristics are: every stroke depicts the image, and every line shows the soul of ink. It truly reflects the “writing” and “meaning” in Chinese “freehand figure painting”. Due to the extremely high difficulty of Chinese freehand figure painting, there are very few people who can truly be called “freehand figure painters” in the history of Chinese painting, Mr. Bao song is one of the outstanding ones.

1996年被美国《国际名人传记协会》评为年度名人及杰出贡献艺术家。

1997年被英国剑桥大学《国际名人传记协会》评为年度杰出艺术家。

2023年12月“生宣纸本工笔重彩人物画”技法被列入教育部“十四五”教育科研规划全国重点课题。

宝松的大写意人物画，被中外艺术界誉为：继宋代梁凯和清代黄慎之后，大写意人物画的承前启后之人。特点为：笔笔写意象，线线出墨魂。真正体现出了中国“写意人物画”中之“写”和“意”。由于中国大写意人物画的难度极高，故在中国绘画史上能真正称得上“大写意人物画家”之人凤毛麟角，画家宝松便是其中杰出者。
